SUMMARY:
Because we are in the customer service business, the Server must act as a “trendsetter” for positive behavior, outstanding “can-do” customer service, and knowledgeable sales skills. The Server must always show a smile, and must always be ready to do whatever is needed to ensure the satisfaction of our guests. The Server must demonstrate grace under pressure, and be willing to go the extra mile at any given time.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Server works in a restaurant atmosphere, which is a temperature-controlled environment with moderate to heavy noise. The restaurant is a fast-paced working environment. The Server’s hours are dependent on the weekly schedule established by the Service Manager of a six-day-per-week, busy restaurant. Hours worked, however, must reflect the actual time required for successful completion of a project/task.
This position is a variable position and there is no guarantee for a specific number of hours.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Server reports to the Service Manager.
DUTIES AND TASKS:
1. Attends to guests, delivering orders to the table
2. Attends to guests, checking on customers during their meal
3. Offers information and suggestions about the menu
4. Prepares checks and collects payments
5. Acts as a salesperson and offers specials, beverages and desserts and does it in a pleasant and appetizing manner
6. Performs clean-up duties as necessary and appropriate during any slow time
7. Performs assigned opening and closing side work duties
